The Brief
Our task here was to design a four bedroom family home to replace an existing one and half storey farmhouse. The design had to be traditional in external form and contemporary in internal feel, it had to sit comfortably in the landscape of The Loch Lomond & Trossach National Park in central Scotland and with the other neighbouring farm buildings.
The Challenge
On this particular project the challenge was to reconcile the two driving requirements of the brief, minimizing energy consumption and maximizing views. This project was a highly successful project for Thomas Robinson Architects who have developed constructions details far exceeding that required by The Building Regulations Scotland. These construction details are now used in much of our work.Back to Projects
