The Crypt, Christchurch

Christchurch Spitalfields was built between 1714 and 1729 by Nicholas Hawksmoor under the Act of Parliament of 1711 which required the building of fifty new churches to serve the new populations on the fringes of London. Practice principal Tom  Robinson worked on The inclusion of a mens hostel into the crypt whilst an architect with Peter Makower architects. It was a chance to work on one of London's treasured landmarks on an architecturally significant building which   stands as one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Britain.
