FINALIST HERALD SCOTTISH PROPERTY AWARDS 2023

We’re extremely happy to announce that Thomas Robinson Architects has been named as a finalist in this year’s Herald Property Awards 2023 for the Residential Interior Design category.

The project in the running is a complete interior transformation of a lovely sandstone villa in North Ayrshire. We want to give a huge thanks to our incredible client for entrusting us with their vision, and to our talented team whose dedication brought it to life.

The design for this house upgrade was all about opening up the interior to bring in much-needed light, air and flow. Disconnected spaces are now connected, and the whole has a calming minimalist appeal. Key interior design elements include Crittall-style glass doors and screens to allow light to flow within the property, as well as some clever lighting. A soft perimeter glow now leads you from space to space, bringing with it a sense of wellbeing.

We also created more inside-outside harmony by adding a raised garden seating area that flows directly from the living area via large sliding doors. It’s a real pleasure to be in this house now, and we’re thrilled that the judges have recognised the success of this project.
