  • Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Technical Architect

    Thomas Robinson Architects are recruiting for an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Technical Architect to join our busy team here.

    The role involves supporting project architects at Stage 4 predominantly but may also include Stages 1-3 of projects.

    If you’d like to be involved in a key technical role within a team delivering a diverse selection of projects encompassing conservation, Passivhaus, and EnerPhit principles as well as mainstream new build construction, this role could be for you.

    The projects we are commissioned to deliver are diverse and technically interesting and delivered within clear operational processes. Projects range from a new build library through high end residences and listed buildings. Projects are bespoke and the scale of projects does not involve repetitive construction packages, which means that the role is fulfilling and requires a continual learning and problem-solving approach. Your role will also be key to the development of the practice as one of the few practices in Scotland with an increasingly large share of high-end residences, new build and listed. The role may include travel to all parts of Scotland.

    Requirements

    Personal:

    organised with the ability to manage your time within external and internal deadlines

    able to manage multiple projects at different stages

    able to follow, engage and add to practice processes

    able to communicate well internally and externally with consultants and clients

    a team player with a ‘can-do’ approach, enthusiasm, and self-motivation

    a practical and pragmatic approach to technical challenges

     

    Technical:

    Minimum of 3-year PQE or equivalent experience

    Evidence of experience of and contribution to work packages produced during RIBA Stages 3 and 4 on new builds and listed or old buildings

    Evidence of experience of and contribution to managing projects during RIBA Stages 5 and 6 on new builds and listed or old buildings

    Evidence of knowledge and understanding of the practical solutions to the technical and commercial challenges of project delivery

    Evidence of proficient use of Revit

    Proficient use of Office Suite

    Drivers License
