the project

The Technology Terrace in Glasgow is an office/light industrial project, designing a space suitable for a research based life science company. In recognition of demand from the West of Scotland's burgeoning life science sector, Scottish Enterprise Glasgow has developed a property portfolio with the specific needs of such industries in mind.

How we worked

Thomas Robinson Architects were pleased to be involved in The Technology Terrace at the West of Scotland Science Park for the developer Speyroc Limited.

The development comprises of 14,500 sq ft which is designed to offer functional accommodation, particularly suited to life science companies and has a mixture of mezzanine office and potential ground floor laboratory space. This type of accommodation suits smaller 'incubator' companies with support at hand to assist them in the early stages of research and development until they establish themselves in larger premises either on the park or elsewhere within the city.

Success of the project

This was a successful project in a burgeoning area of 21st-century design. Thomas Robinson Architects were retained to design interior fit out contracts for occupiers as the units became occupied.
