Chris Coleman-Smith

Director

Chris Coleman-Smith is a director at Thomas Robinson Architects. He is a registered architect and RIAS accredited in conservation architect.  Chris has project experience across a wide range of sectors and scales.

Chris graduated from the University of Sheffield where he completed his master’s and worked with several practices before moving to Glasgow in 2001.  Prior to joining Thomas Robinson Architects, he was a director at Hoskins Architects and a led teams on their most significant award-winning projects.  His experience includes the cultural and commercial redevelopment of historic and listed buildings in sensitive sites and settings, and balance sensitive refurbishment with contemporary additions.

He is a talented designer and enjoys working with clients and teams on developing briefs and proposals that respond to their context, achieve user requirements, are sustainable, are joyful and rooted in their place.

As a Director at Thomas Robinson Chris works closely with Tom, Fiona, and the wider team to enhance the design and delivery of projects and ensure the ongoing success of the practice.
