What we do
Thomas Robinson Architects has an established record as a practise which has a diverse range of expertise across many commercial sectors in Scotland.
As commercial architects, our projects range from the conservation of listed buildings in the private and public sectors to state of the art technology buildings on science parks. We have completed community building projects in urban and rural settings as well as sustainable residential and office developments for developers.
We act as Executive Architects for developers, design architects and project managers where a local presence and knowledge of the Scottish statutory regulations and building industry is required.
We form successful teams from our wide range of contacts and are happy to talk to anyone about their project.
Please visit our Projects page for visual examples of projects in the following specialist areas: Conservation Architecture, Church Architecture, Listed Buildings, Community Buildings, Residential and Office Developments for developers, Passivhaus Projects, Enerphit and Energy Efficient Designs and projects where we have acted as Executive Architects.

We can offer a full architectural service tailored to suit your particular requirements. We are also flexible enough to offer partial design services, where only 1 or 2 sections of the full design service are required.
We often collaborate on projects and bring in expertise for particular specialist design services to augment our core team.
The commercial building process has its own complexities, including having more than one client, tightly set budgets, advanced sustainable building design, relationship building and exceptional organisation and management skills. We have a well-practised approach to cover all these elements.
Offering a high level of personal service through all stages, from initial discussions through the design process and on to completion, our team are experienced communicators.
We are also well positioned to undertake grant funded or lottery projects.
