We are often asked to design contemporary interiors, for new build modern homes and also as new wings or extensions on more traditional buildings. Fiona Robinson, practice partner, leads the interior design team, and has an expert eye on creating interior spaces which flow well. As well as making the best use of natural light, often with extensive contemporary glazing, she ensures that the scale of each contemporary interior works. Some large open-plan interiors need careful thought so that they don’t feel cavernous or too empty. Rooms within the space are created, and furniture and interior architecture is used to delineate the use of different spaces. It must all feel joined however, with a continuous style.
