the project

This project involved collaboration with international award-winning architects Stanhope Gate Architecture, and acclaimed London based Interior Design practice Louise Jones Interiors. The aim was to realise the delivery of their design, and to develop a magnificent Scottish island country estate. The scope of the projects included substantial extensions, conservation of the historic fabric, and refurbishment of a beautiful listed country house.

How we worked

Thomas Robinson Architects role was to act as Executive Architects. This involved advice and then preparation and submission of consent applications for planning, listed building consent, and building warrant. Thomas Robinson Architects prepared construction drawings and made regular site visits during the construction period. The exact project details for this Hebridean country estate are confidential.

As the Executive Architect we ensured the design architect’s vision was translated into reality. We understand the complex relationships involved in these cross-party partnerships.

Success of the project

The details for this country estate project are confidential. The project greatly enhanced our expertise in the field of Executive Architecture and in putting together strong teams for architects and clients not based in Scotland. Our skill also aided the project by adding local knowledge and strength to achieve successful project delivery.
